Medical Services Provided to Pregnant Women
Volume of necessary laboratory and instrumental examinations by trimester for high and low-risk pregnant women:
1st Trimester: 11-14 Weeks of Pregnancy
The purpose of the first screening examination is to identify ultrasound signs of possible chromosomal anomalies.
The necessary interventions during this period are:
Pregnancy ultrasound
Complete blood count
Blood group and Rh factor determination
Vaginal smear examination
Complete urine examination
Glucose
Urea
Prothrombin time (index, MNT)
Hepatitis B
Hepatitis C
Syphilis
Therapist consultation
ECG
One free consultation with a narrow specialist (endocrinologist, neurologist, ophthalmologist)
11-14 or 18-22 Weeks of Pregnancy
Genetic testing, including PAPP-A, Free βhCG, AFP, and Free Estriol, is performed at the request of the gynecologist or the pregnant woman.
2nd Trimester: 18-22 Weeks of Pregnancy
The second screening examination focuses on the detailed examination of the fetus's structure.
The necessary interventions during this period include:
Ultrasound
30 weeks: Laboratory tests:
Complete blood count
Complete urine test
Vaginal smear test
Glucose
Urea
Prothrombin time (index, MNT)
Syphilis
General practitioner consultation
Doppler testing is performed at 26-30 weeks, as requested by the gynecologist.
All pregnant women (citizens of the Republic of Armenia) are provided with a certificate of incapacity for work and a state certificate of obstetric care.
3rd Trimester: 32-34 Weeks of Pregnancy
The purpose of the third screening examination is to assess the possibility of miscarriage.
The necessary interventions during this period include:
Ultrasound
36-37 weeks:
General blood test
General urine test
Unlimited visits to the gynecologist.
This schedule is designed to monitor the health of both the pregnant woman and the fetus at key stages of pregnancy, ensuring early detection of any complications and proper medical care.
